What is Finger Twister?

Finger Twister is a browser-based utility designed to verify your keyboard's N-Key Rollover (NKRO) capabilities while challenging your finger dexterity. Unlike standard typing tests that measure speed, this tool validates your hardware's ability to register multiple simultaneous keystrokes—a critical feature for gaming and high-speed productivity.

Why Test N-Key Rollover?

N-Key Rollover (NKRO) ensures that every single key press is registered correctly, regardless of how many other keys are currently being held down. Most standard office keyboards can only register 2-6 keys at once (2KRO or 6KRO), which can lead to 'ghosting' or missed inputs during intense gaming sessions. Finger Twister provides a visual and interactive way to confirm if your mechanical keyboard truly supports full NKRO.

What is Keyboard Ghosting?

Ghosting occurs when a keyboard registers a key press that you didn't actually make, or fails to register one you did, usually because multiple keys are pressed simultaneously. This happens due to the internal wiring of cheaper keyboards (matrix limitation). High-end gaming keyboards use Anti-Ghosting technology to ensure precise input detection even during complex key combinations.
